Ash, Charli, and Harnah are the Murray Bridge leading ladies upskilling themselves to open doors within their current Local Government positions. They’re using online study to break into higher job roles, with bigger responsibilities, and even bigger salaries. Read about their experiences below to see how upskilling could benefit your career.
Ash is studying a Master of Business Administration (Leadership) Program through CQUniversity to upskill in her current role as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Mayor. This self-paced program accommodates her lifestyle as she juggles full-time work and family life. It has also enabled her to grow her skillset and develop within her organisation. Looking towards the future, Ash hopes that a masters qualification will lead her to bigger opportunities post-grad.
Charli is also studying a Master of Business Administration (Leadership) Program through CQUniversity. As someone who believes that continuous learning is essential for her personal and professional development, she aims to enhance her skills and knowledge to excel as Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Community Development. Charli is a goal-setter, aiming to apply her newfound knowledge to introduce innovative leadership practices in the work environment.
Harnah is undertaking a full-time Diploma of Payroll through Monarch Institute to excel in her current position as Corporate Services Support Officer – Payroll & HR. Our support network got Harnah back into study, regularly asking Jane questions and utilising the Murraylands campus because of its quiet and inviting space. Studying has allowed her to create future opportunities while showing her kids that studying is a positive way to gain resilience, confidence, and independence. What a fantastic role model!
