Student Support
Here's why we're different
We want you to succeed. To us, you’re not another number. You’re part of our region’s future prosperity. Whether you become one of our children’s teachers or doctors; or help project manage the installation of a local playground. You might support our small businesses to market themselves better, or help grow a local export market into China. Whatever your future career holds, we want to make sure we’re helping you along the way.
We understand the extra pressures in undertaking tertiary education living in regional locations and we’re putting in to place a range of support mechanisms, which gives local people the best chance of completing their dream uni degree.
"The study hub will create real pathways to employment in our region, help workers change or progress their careers, support more business start-ups and help meet our local labour market demands".
Jo Podoliak, RDAMR CEO

Local modern facilities, resources and people
Our hub facilities and student support teams based in Murray Bridge and the Riverland provide local, modern, friendly, convenient and connected resources where students can come and learn together. This combination will allow you, no matter what course you’re enrolled in, an opportunity to study in the right environment and succeed.
While most online courses are done in isolation and often from your dining room table, the study hub is different. We have the space and the social learning connections covered, right here.
We also have a local student advisor, based at each of our hubs who will support you through your learning journey. What this means for you, is that there will be someone locally based to help you, no waiting on hold with someone from interstate. Our Student Advisor will be around to chat with face-to-face, on the phone, or email – so you don’t need to face study dilemmas on your own.
Avoid Adelaide and the high costs of living
Our new hub means you don’t need to move or travel to the city to study your degree. You can stay at home with your family, keep working in your current job, stay part of your sports team on the weekends and still work towards your next career. If you’ve been considering studying for a while, this is the perfect time.

There's plenty of courses to choose from
You can study any course you want, through any higher education provider and have access to the Study hubs. If you need support to consider your options, apply, enrol, or along your study journey we can help you!

We have exceptional local connections
With the management team consisting of local and regional experts, we’re highly connected across all industries in the region. We know the business owners who are looking for new grads, we know the industries who want to foster innovation with new minds, and we want to connect you with them.
Everyone who comes to the Study Hub will be supported with networking opportunities to engage with potential future employers and career growth opportunities.
We know the challenges facing rural/remote students
We work with rural people every day, not to mention we live in regional communities ourselves.
The challenges faced by people who have grown up in, or now live with family, in the Murraylands and Riverland are often deeply connected to these areas. In the past where many have moved away to the city to study, and then stayed there – they (or you) can now stay in your home and avoid the heavy cost and burden of uprooting your life.
Not only is it the students faced with a significant financial and mental strain from a move to the city, but also parents and families are too. The MRSH framework can avoid this.
By living and studying in our local communities we can continue to work in our part time roles, play sport for our local clubs, take our children to local schools, support our families and be a part of our exceptional local communities.
We want local people, their skills and knowledge to stay local and keep growing our local community and economy.

The Murray River Study Hub makes gaining a qualification easier for people in the Murraylands and Riverland. It offers a new way to earn your degree in a more convenient, rewarding and economic model. The best part – it’s open to anyone, at any time in their life – and we’re here to help you succeed.
